Merri field of The Dalles will leave for Kansas City, Missouri the 28th to attend the tri-annual convention of federated women’s clubs This will be the second time Mrs. Car lisle has represented the Tuesday! Afternoon Study Club as its dele gate having made a trip to Detroit in 1935 with Mrs. Louis Scholl. Mrs. Augusta Huckin accompani ed Mrs. Ella Hyslop, Mrs. Ella Pound and Mrs. Eva Davis of The Dalles on a motor trip to Portland where they attended the Hinson Memorial services and the sunrise service on Mt. Tabor f a s t e r Sun- day. Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Kaseberg entertained friends with dinner Sunday at the Sherman hotel. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. El vis Rich, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Arma- worthy, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Moon and family and Rev. and Mrs. Gilbert Carey. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Fridley spent the week in Portland with relatives. «Miss Frances Goraline enter tained her friend Mary Williams of Gateway over the week end. Mrs. Alta Ireland is at the Ed Newton ranch helping with, the spring work. Mrs. Elva Hines gave a birthday party Saturday in honor of her daughter Barbara’s eleventh birth day anniversary. Later in the af ternoon the ten guests enjoyed an Easter hunt on the grounds of the Methodist church. Mr. and'Mrs. C. G. Andrews spent Sunday visiting with their children Philip Andrews and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Paul Andrews of Eugene.
