S Chester Silvers returned Mon day follow ing a six weeks stay with his son at akima. Mionday a sale of horses and equipment was held at the J. S. Fowler farm near Rufus. Fields brothers were owners. Mrs. Cora Vengler returned to her home in Portland Wednesday after assisting Mrs. Grant Arms- worthy with household work for three months. Mrs. V iggo H aufelt spent Sun day in 'Portland. Mrs. E verett McQuillen return ed from Pdrtlaiul Friday where she spent several days. Mrs. H. D. Proudfoot was hos tess for a contract bridge party Monday afternoon at her home west o f town.
