Dyer and family were in | Condon and Mayville over last week end to visit with Mr. Dyer’s parents who live on a farm at Mayville. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Hocks and son, Billy Dean of Portland and Mr. and Mrs. George Miller and daugh ter of Portland were Sunday visi- j tors at the home of Mrs. Jessie Henrichs. Mrs. Hocks was former ly Hazel Damon. Mark Hinkle received word Fri day that twins, a boy and a girl, had been born to Mr. and Mrs. Clark Hinkle of Klamath Falls. The boy survived but a few hours. Joe Morrison was over from Gilliam county Saturday and says that in that section of the county there is a chance for a fair crop. Mr. and Mrs. Marion .McKee left Monday morning for Portland and Corvallis where Marion will give, tests to the new crop of druggists. George Wilcox was in charge of the store during his absence. D. R. Parker was here Monday from Gilliam county to transact a bit of legal business. James B. Morrison was here Monday to visit his brother, Clar- enee and look over the country a bit. George Updegraff was in Port- land over the two day holiday to visit with his mother. Mr. and Mrs. H. U. Martin of The Dalles, were visiting at the W. H. Martin home on Memorial Day. Mrs. Susie Hastings left on Tues day for Vancouver to visit with Her son and daughters who live at that place, lor a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Avery Martin or The Dalles, spent the last week end visiting in Moro. W. M. Walker was here Wednes day from Prairie City to transact a little business and visit witn relatives. Sherman County Pomona Grange will meet next Saturday, June 6, with the Harlandview Grange. The program, which is being ar- ranged by Mrs. Helen Bruckert will consist of a discussion, pro and con, of the Townsend plan. It is expected that C. D. Nickelson will appear in favor of the plan. Janet Stephens left for Crater Lake where she will be employed in the lodge this summer.
