The three counties in which the minority party lost ground were Gilliam, Harney, and Wheeler. • In some counties, notably Clackamas, Clat sop, Columbio, Josephine. Kla math, and Lincoln the democratic registration has doubled in the four year period. Whereas not a single Oregon county lined up in the Democratic column prior to the 1982 primary there are now 4 coun ties in this state which show Demo cratic majorities.
