A marriage license waa issued last Tuesday in Portland to Dar old Belsbe and Miss Eloise J. Schade. Darold is the son of Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Belshe, and Miss Schade has visited here several timea during the past year. Mrs. Sara Rasmussen arrived Thursday morning from Pendle ton to spend Thanksgiving with her brothers and sisters here. Neal Freeman made an early morning trip to Biggs to meet his wife who came from La- Grande for Thanksgiving. The Red Cross membership committee for Lhh year is George Bourhill, Mrs. Martha Cope and Mrs. J. J. Schaeffer. The Camp Fire girls are assisting them in selling memberships for 1932and they will appreciate any help that might be given in obtaining members in this community. The next meeting of the Moro Womans Club has been canceled owing to the prevailance of smallpox in the community. Mrs. Dollie Hart of Newport, Washington, a half-sister of Mrs. Echo Vin tin,spent Thanks giving with the Vintin family.* W. T. Balsiger enjoyed a visit last week with his cousin from lone. Mrs. F. J. Quift of Portland, a sister of Dan McLaughlin, vis ited here the first of the week with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Belsbe left Wednesday for Portland to spend the holiday and attend the wedding of their son, Darold, J. C. McKean was taken to the hospital last Thursday a very sick man from another attack of jaundice and gall stones. At last accounts he was getting along fairly well. P, C. Axtell left Tuesday for a short business trip to Portland. The Odd-Fellows lodge' will hold election of officers next Mon day night, November 30 and will expect every member to be out for the occasion. J. B.
