Deep Snow alr Cornucopia The snow is getting deep at Camp, a good ten feet in the town 13 feet at tho miM and 17 feet at tho Last Chance. So much fresh snow on top of tho crusted early snow is causing a number of slides though none of consequence yet. "We are asked to again make a collection of used and sur- phis clothing for the relief of the suffering people of Europe with the exception of the Central Pow ers, The amount asked for, is twice as large as that asked' for the last time and means that ev- eryono must contribute some thing in the way of clothing for suffering humanity. Months ago; Henry P. David son, CI airman of the Red Cross War Council, cabled from Europe that the cessation of hostilities would find the world face to. face with a picture of misery such as had never before been seen in the history of mankind. The veil has been lifted and we know that America must feed and clothe millions of people for months to come. Baker Chapter has appointed Walter Meacharrt, Sec. of the Baker Commercial Club to take care of this work in Baker and Grunt counties and he has secured the Rand Building in Baker as a depot for the gathering and pack ing of this collection. Th'S work, will be. handled through local auxiliaries which will collect the clothing in their community and send it to Baker for shipment. Ah clothing must be in the last week of March, so there i3 no time for delay. Ran sack the Old clothes closet and bring in the clothing that you do not need as there are many who need clothing to keep them from suffering. Do It Now. Mrs. C. M. Dimmick and Mrs. J. C. Bowen will have charge of the drive in Eag.e Valley and ask for the co-operation of all citizens who would thus help out the suf fering people of Europe. Clothing of all kinds and sizes is needed, but it should be clean and in repair before delivering for shipment.
