The Braves came back to force a 14-14 halftime tie, then wore down the Gulls in the second half, taking advantage of four Seaside turn- overs on a cold and foggy night at Hillsboro Stadium. It was the second win of the sea- son over the Gulls for the Braves, who won their first state champion- ship in school history. Astoria defeated Banks 19-11 in the 2008 final.
