The "One Man Harvester"
will eave the cash outlay for
header crew and the threshing
expense which in round numbers
amount to at least Two Dollars
per acre even though the yield is
orJy five sacks. This cash, to
gether with that necessary to
board the crews and pay for fix
ing up the header and wagons,

will cut and thresh from 12 to 20

Will Cooney's house on Trail
Fork was totally destroyed by
fire yesterday evening about five
o'clock. Most of the furnishings
downstairs were taken out but
everything on the upper floor was
burned. The fire started from a
defective flue.

Lloyd listened eagerly to bis sentry's
words, and believed them. A look of
hope came Into his eyes, end he raven
ously ate the meal beside him.
In about an hour's time, the chap
lain came to see him, but Lloyd would
have none of him. He wanted no par
son ; ha was to be pardoned.
The artillery behind the lines sud
denly opened up with everything they
bad. An Intense bombardment of the
enemy's lines had commenced. The
roar of the guns was deafening.
Lloyd's fears came back with a rush,
and he cowered on the earthen floor
