A half-hear tel effort has been made several times to enforce this law, which is a good one. but has not met with success. Many farmers try to keep their property free from weeds but unless there be a general effort to eradicate them it will be im possible to keep any property free .from these destroyers. There are many of these weeds growing along the streets and on vacant lots in Condon. The council should start the ball rolling by ordering them removed. THE lone Bulletin, edited by L. K. Harlan, made its initial appearance last Thursday and is a neat, clean, newsy paper. It carries a good line of advertising, showing that the business men of lone appreciate the great benefit a town derives from a news paper. Mr Harlan was with the Globe for a number of years and we wish him much success in his new field. THE city treasurer's nport, published in encther column of this issue shows conclusively that the city has advanced financial ly during the last year in addition to several improvements that that have been made among them being the new and costly steel water main. WE may not agree that President Wilson is right in some of his intentions but all must concede that he is certainly on his job and that he cares little for the cracking of the party whip. IT MAY not be amisa to again call the attention of the council to the vile stench which is very much in evidence at the west side of the old Condon Hotel building. Progressive.
