Sweden, At the of five years he came to California with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lind bey, where in in 1906 she was married to Mr. Dixon. In 1908 Mr. and Mrs. Dixon came to Oregon and sine that time have been residents of the Olex community. There was born to this union one daughter, Lillian May, born Aoril 18th. 1909. Mrs. Dixon was stricken with scarlet fever and despite the etforts of two skilled physicians. she succumbed to the disease arter ten days illness. The remains were laid to rest in the Olex cemetery after short prsyer ser vice and a few brief remarks by sor rowing friend. At an early ags Mrs. Dixon became a member of the M. E. UHin.ii at Hyland, Caltr. To the sor rowing husband, infant daughter, aged mother and sister; Mrs. Lytle, the sym pathy of the whole community goee out in this their hour of bereavement and we we wish to add that in the death of this estimable young woman the sorrow ing friends and neighbors have sustain ed an irreparable hiss and will long re member the cheery smile and sunny disposition of one whom God in his In finite wisdom has called from the cares of this mortal life to be with him forev er in the world to come. Barker was in the Wheat City the first of the week. The Wheat City Orchestra has rented the rink for dancing purposes. Anyone wishing to get the hall for a dance can call on C. N. Laughrige at the Post Office. A. K. York was in town last Saturday from Ajax and made a pleasent call at thin office. A new girl has been entertain ing Mr. and Mrs. Alex Marshall since Tuesday, reports Dr. Wood. G. E. Townsend, the hide buyer was in town this week attending to business matters and will go from here into the interior to Madras and Bend in the interest of his firm. H. H. Watson of Fossil was in this city on Thursday. Mrs. John Kirk of Waterman was in this city the fore part of the week. J. McDonald of Fossil was a business visitor in this city on Thursday.
