where peace and good will to
ward all men is, exemplified. If
perchance, a copy of this paper
should fall into the hands of
any who are in search of a new
location a place where church,
school and social advantages are
given emphasis, and where, you
can live out your allotted number
of years without fear of pestil
ence or famine, we say, like one
of old, "Come thou with us and
we will do thee good," without
emphasis on the "do"
Nothing else of the same cost
adds so much to the attractive
ness of a town, nothing else
gives such an air of prosperity
and thrift, of comfort and con
tent as the good repair and neat
appearance of buildings and
fences and generally well kept
up 'premises. A few dollars
spent by way of paint, and a lit
tle time spent now and then fix
ing up, toning up and keeping
things in order, has a most won
derful effect and a store of sat
isfaction. Great and imposing
edifices are not necessary to
beauty and attractiveness. We
kaow of some humble cottages,
yet are so enveloped in neatness
and tidiness of all things round
about, we never look on them
but we are reminded it must be
pleasant to be there.
