Condon Prug Co,' OULTRY SHOW III JANUARY - . Will Hold Second Annual Exhibit wasco ran 10 M SHOWING Will be BetterThan First Annual Show The Wasco Poultry Association will hold its second annual chick en show January 21, 22 and 23, and the officers expect to make a big showing over last year. There were over 100 awards in 1908, but in some classes there was not the competition that it is ex pected will be made at the com ing exhibit. Owing to the short time in which the promoters had to get the chicken fanciers of the coun ty together last year, the birds were not in the best condition and it is expected that a decided mprovement will be noticable at the second annual show. A great number of inquiries are being received from fanciers outside the county, who want to get a chance at the ribbons. At the last show there were not a great many outside birds entered but this year the local raisers will have to get in and hustle so that the competition of the birds which will, no doubt, be entered from all over the state, will be interesting and close. The services of Harry II. Col- ier of Tacoma, formerly editor of the Pacific Poultryman . have been secured as judge. Mr. Col- icr has a reputation of being one of the best judges of fowls, both of fancy and stable breeding, in the Northwest. Secretary Leo Schanno is send ing out notices for entries and is anxious that the people expect ing to show, send their list of entries to him as soon as possible. He requests that every person de siring entry blanks notify him at once. .
