The basketball games which were played in the gymnasium on Saturday evening were suc cessful in every way. The at tendance was good and the spec tators were well pleased with the exhibition. The High School game between Georgia Searcy's team and Maud Stevens' team was won by the former by a score of 8 to 4. Mary Farns worth and Veva Portwood did good work for their team while Tillie Dams and Maud Stevens were instrumental in securing their baskets. The game be tween the gymnasium teams was interesting and hard fought. C. N. Laughridge was captain of one team and Harry Fitzmaurice of the other. Laughrige's team won by a score of 7 to 6 although during the first half it looked like a walk away for the other team. Scores for the winners were made by C. Fitzmaurice, Hail an and Parman and for the other team by Donnelly, Taylor and H. Fitzmaurice. A game will be played with Heppner in the near future and other games will be played with outside teams.
