McDaniel of Rock Creek was in Condon Tuesday. W. Lord of The Dalles spent Sunday in this city. Will Burns left on Saturday last for San Francisco. Albert Campbell who had been visiting in Portland returned Saturday. Mrs. John Jackson returned Saturday from Portland where she had been visiting for several weeks, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Conner of Ajax were in town Tuesday,, and left Wednesday for Portland where they will visit relatives and friends until after Christ mas. Fred Monroe of Arlington was a visitor in Condon last week, re turning to Arlington on Monday, - Henry Neel returned Saturday from Portland where he went with a carload of fat hogs. John Magee of Trail Fork was a passenger on the local Satur day for Portland. He will also visit in California before return ing. ' Chas. Kennedy, local agent for the' Pacific Coast Elevator Co., has moved his office from the Gilliam County Mills to the Shelton & Ox's real estate office on North Main street He may now be found there and is ready to do business in the same courteous manner. D. M. Walton's house west of Mayville burned to the ground on Monday night Fred Brown has the place rented and was living in the house. It is not known what caused the fire. Mrs. W. M. McKinney of Rock Creek was an incoming passen ger on thellocal Wednesday even ing. J as. Amend returned last week from Montana and will probably spend the winter here. E. B. Miss Grace McKinney of Blalock was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Fair during Thanks giving. Miss Catherine Greiner spent several days in Portland during the past week. The new livery barn of J. W. Hire is nearing completion and adds much to the appearance of east Main street Manager Thiessen of the In terior Warehouse Co, has had his office renovated during the past week until it presents an extremely neat appearance. Stanton spent the latter part of last week visiting with friends and relatives in this city and left on Saturday to return to his work at Alderdale, Wn. He is foreman of a warehouse buiiding crew.
