Mr. Pulliam reports that he has been a subscriber for eight years and that the Globe gives him better satisfaction at the present time than ever before. Miss Ettta Lord, who has been the guest of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Lord of this city for a couple of weeks, left Monday morning for California. Miss Lord was met at The Dalles by Mrs. W. Globules Br lb "Devil" Just as the concert of Europe is getting nicely tuned up, the Sultan insists on sucking a lemon in front of the band-stand. Prosperity seems to have re turned just in time to meet the Easter bonnet in the road and get held up. In spite of the fact that Leap Year is pretty well advanced, there is no indication yet who Miss Democracy is going to pro pose to. Smut Cleaner a Success J. W. Dyer of Mayville has been experimenting with a new Smut Cleaner. After fanning his wheat the same as always heretofore, he put it through the Smut Cleaner and the amount of smut, weed seed and trash that came out of his "clean wheat" was a surprise to him. At the same time the application of the formaldehyde was more perfect than before and the waste much less. The sacks were not satur ated and he thinks his seed will not heat in the sack as is com mon with seed that is dipped in the liquid while in the sack. These Smut Cleaners are sold and guaranteed by Hunt The Hardware Man. Condon National Bank Report. ' No. KM.
