Mlkkato. Just a little more snow, if you please. The holidays have come and gone and so has some of our hard earned dough. E. J. Clough has shipped two carload3 of slab wood to this station from Arlington. The rains of the past week have set the plow teams going. Also the tar weed. John Mikkalo, one of our most prosperous farmers, is taking advantage of the good weather and has two plow teams going. Wheat hauling is almost finish ed with the exception of a few farmers who did their seeding before hauling. About 75,000 sacks of grain has been delivered at this station this season. Not so bad. H. D. Randall of Olex and A. A. Carrothers of Rock Creek made a business trip to Condon last Friday. . Miss Hazel Cooper, 'who is teaching school at this place, spent the holidays with friends in Condon. Mrs. Frank Little spent X-mas with her folks on Rock Creek. Harvey Thomas spent the holi days at Goldendale, whether with relatives or some one else, we haven't as yet learned. Chas. Patterson, foreman of the S. S. Thomas ranch, is put ting in a good supply of wood for the winter. Frank Little is building a side walk from his store to the de pot; every little bit helps to im prove the town. Keep up the good work. I say: We have a pretty good train crew on our "Condon Fly er." Treat them right, boys, and you'll be treated likewise. For you know to be continually "chewing the rag" with a man who is doing his best, makes a mean man of him. And say, dont get the Con riled up. Don't doit Chas. Bullard was in town the first of the week on business. ' Resolutions of Condolence. Mayville, Oregon, Dec. 27, '07. Resolved: That we tender the sorrowing and bereaved fam ily our sincerest sympathy and assurance of our sincere esteem for our departed Sister. Resolved: That our charter be draped in mourning for a period of thirty days, and these resolutions be spread upon the minutes of our lodge, and a copy presented to the family of our deceased Sister, and a copy sent to the local papers for publica tion.
