) CONDON WILL CELEBRATE THE 4TH. EVERYBODY COME VOL XVII. CONDON. OREGON. FRIDAY. JUNK 21. 10O7. NO. 14. -WW Bill IBM MB The Condon baseball team, accompanied by a large retinue of fans and rooters, went to Clem last Sunday and won an other game from the team at that place. .Geo, Chandler, Clem's first baseman, did not ar rive until after several innings had been played otherwise things might have been different as that team certainly plays a good game of ball. Gray struck out thirteen of the Clem batters and Wei slums had ten of the Condon strikers fanning the atmosphere. Jesse Crum, Clem's catcher, got a hard jolt on the head while batting but it didn't seem to have much effect on him. G. T. McArthur played right field for Condon during the first half of the game and S. R. Kelly played that position for the last four innings. M. Welshons umpired the game and tried to give every body a square deal Following is the lineup and score. CONDON CLEM Gray , p K. The base ball enthusiasts predate the Sunday train, ap- There were a few interesting horse races and foot races after the game. The star plays were made by Jarvis and Burns. Condon has a team that makes as few errors as any amateur team in the state. No use to put 'em in the left field. Morrison is always there and it is just the same' as drop ping' them into a header box. Page will -get his three-bagger next Sunday. Parker generally makes second when he hits the ball. Rice handles the ball on second just like a veteran. Condon has the best all around team this year they ever had. Don't be afraid of seeing a poor game because the boys can play the game and they will always deliver the goods. Come out and see May ville get theirs next Sunday. KELLMBN5 Mr. Malachi Kelly of Provi dence, Rhode Island,' and Miss Loretta Burns were married in St Mary's Cathedral, San Fran cisco, Sunday, June 9th. Rev. M. J. Mr; and Mrs. Kelly will make an extensive wedding tour including Southern Califor nia, Toledo, Ohio, the home of the bride's parents, and many other places of interest before reaching their future home in Providence. Mrs. Kelly is well and favorably known in this com munity and the groom is a very successful real estate man of Providence. The Globe joins with the bride's many friends in wishing her a long and happy life. MAX Oscar Simmons and wife are working for Lee Hines. Mesdames Tumey and Work inger were Condon visitors last week. Wm. Workman, foreman on the Lee Hines ranch, had two ribs broken one day last week by being thrown from a gang plow. Mrs. Glen recently closed a successful term of school in North Ajax.
