With tbU issue of the Globe the undersigned seven his conneo tion with the paper. I desire first to thank the public for their liber al patronage and support and seo- ond to say that it is with no little regret that I leave the good people of Gilliam county. It Is from no loss of faith in the business that make the change, fur it was never on a better financial basis, but sim ply because I desire to devote my entire time to the practice of law. The new proprietors, II. A. Harts horn and Marcus Portwood, are young men who are well and favor ably known throughout the county. The former has had considerable experience in the newspaper busi ne, being at one time employed as reporter on the Cedar Rapids Oaiotte, in which capacity he serv ed, for over a year. The latter has been a member of the firm of Car ter A Portwood for so one months and has been doing a good business in real estate and abstracts. That the new firm will make a success of the business goes without saying, as their ability and integrity is unquestioned. W. H. Hornibrook. The undersigned have formed a partnership for the purpose of pub lishig the Condon Globe and con- . duoting a real estate and abstract business. It shall be our purpose to conduct the business in such a manner that do one will have rea son to oomplain of receiving any thing but fair and impartial treat ment at our hands. Fred Ander son who has been employed at the Globe office for nearly a year will continue in our employment, which fact insures the best of job printing. Our abstract books will soon be completed, and we shall, by the ju dicious ubo of printers ink, ad vertise all land and other prop erty listed with us for sale. All nbsoription accounts have been turned over to us, but W. H. Hor nibrook is to collect and reoeive all "advertising and job printing ac counts np to the 1st day of April. We respectfully soliolt the patron age 'and support of the publio Hartshorn & Portwood. $18 per Aore, 600-sore farm for sals. - 4 miles from Condon. 520 acres tillable. 800 acres In summer fallow.
