CHOOSE GOOD MEN".
The present is a titno of great
importance to the future develop'
ment and general welfare of Con
don been line the town is undoubt
edly on the eve of a period of
growth luch aa it has never before
enjoyed. The country u settling
up and developing and the town
tnust follow snit. Condon is, in
fact, in a period of transition, in
this year ot grace, from a village
to a modern town and every citizen
should appreciate this fact and
should cast about for the best
means at his command by which
to assist in promoting the general
welfare. In a little more than a
month city election will be held and
it is safe to say that, uot only has
an election of equal importance
never before been held in the town
but that perhaps at no time in the
future will a set of city otlicials be
chosen whose acts will have so
stress an ir.Suer.cs cn the future
weal or woe of the municipality.
There are many problems of great
importance to the town to bo met
and solved during the coming year,
among which may be mentioned
the matter of a greater water sup
ply, a sewer system and a general
improvement in municipal con
ditions which will be rendered im
perative by the rapid growth of the
town. Because of this it is the
duty of every citizen to join with
other citizens in a concerted effort
to select only the very best men
available for city oflicials. Politics,
factional difl'erences, personal fueds
everything of this kind should
bo relegated to the rear for the
present and all should join in
selecting for city oilicers men of
known ability progressive, broad
minded, honest and fearless men
whose watch word will be "A
greater and better Condon." Men
are now needed who know some
thing of what the town needs and
who can take hold of new con
ditions as they arise and meet them
intelligently; who are willing to
give up a portion of their time and
talents for the general welfare; who
want to see Condon the best town
of its size in the northwest and
who will take pride in helping to
make it such.
Th Colon!' Waterloo.
Colonel John M. Fuller, of Honey
Grove, Tessi, nearly met his Waterloo,

recent letter, lie saysi "I was nearly

I tried my family doctor, he did tue no
good so I got a 50c bottle of your great
Electric Bitters, which cured me. I con
sider them the best inedtciue on earth,
and thank (Jod who gave you the know

teed to cure DyspSpsia, Uillouineee and
Kidney Diereee, by all druggists, at 60c
a bottle.
Fred Wilton and Mart Abbey return
ed from Twin Falls, Idaho, Tuesday.
They went there some time ago to look
up the Dusliiesa openings in that new
town but returned seemingly eatiaitied
that Condon is hard to beat. Mr. Wil
son Invested in a Quarter section of tine
land near Twin Falls that he believes
will prove to be a fine investment.
Incrodlbl Brutality.
It would have been Incredible brutal
ity if Chas. F. Lembergtr, of Syracuse,
N. V., had not done the best he could
for his suffering son. "My boy," he
savs, "cut a fearful gash over his eye, so
I applied Rurklen's Arnica Salve, which
qnlckly healed it and saved hi eye."
Uood for burns and ulcers too. Only 25
cents at all druggists.

Inflammatory Rheumatism Cured.
William Shaffer, a brakeman of Denni

several weeks with inflammatory rheu

said. "Finally I sent to McCaw's drug
store for a bottle of Chamberlain's Paic
Balm, at which time I was unable to
use hand or foot, and in one week's time
was able to go to work as happy aa a

A Favorite Remedy for Bablaa.
Its pleasant taste and prompt cures
