he is holding the stock on accouut of the
claim of a Nebraska stock inspector that
some of the animals are Infected with

to disprove the claim and get his sheep

J. L. Shrlver was thrown from a frisky
saddlehorte on Main street Thursday
evening and sustained a fracture of the
collar bone. Dr. Gullette reduced the
fracture aud the patient is now resting

the Condon hotel. The animal was one

who lives between Olex and lone, was
granted a diforce from bis wife. Grace
liorUer, at Portland last week.
Mr. liortxer went to Portland last
February to secure a housekeeper for
his ranch home and at an employment
olflce was Introduced to Mins Grace
Drew who expressed a willingness to
nerve him In that capacity. He was
captivated by the young lady and next
day proposed to make her bit wife in
stead of his housekeeper and the prop
osition was accepted. They proceeded
to marry and in a week' the procecdod
to quit him cold and refused lo live
with him, Mr. Bort.or returned home
but last month he returned to Portland
and, after consulting an attorney, he
made certain discoveries which render
ed divorce easy. The suit followed and
last Saturday the Bortxer'case was one
