A movement r m foot Among fhe tmHiiieca men and r-itizrns to till a lonir-f.-lt want in Coition by organising lri of trade or commerrial club Laving for its o'ljct the advamtiiiiftit of Die Imi'iuei'a intrrpst!' of Condon and th iip-bniliimn on I development of this section ft(i liam ronuty. Th (iionr hs, in the punt, directed attention to the argent nned of soniesuuh . erganil ttinn here, but, until Now the time did not aeetu ripe for our citizens to take hold of the mutter and push it to successful issue. Never before have the ron'titions been so favorable for estab lishing such an organization in Condon, and, it may be added, never before has the need of it been so apparent to the people. The town needs the nnited -ff. irt of every one of its wide-awake eiti ns which such en organisation alone rnn afford to bring it to, and keep it at, the head of the procession of Eastern Uregnn towns of its class, and we hope to see a full ttirnoot of all who are interest ed when the meeting is called.: There are a number of projects which are within onr reach just now that, if secur ed, will be to tlMj advantage of every ritiien, and which, if not secured by us, w ill go to some more enterpritting town. As has lieea demonstrated time and sriin in the past, " what fs everybody's business is nobody's business, " and it appears that the lime hns at last arrived when we must organise for onr own pro tection and profit, and put ourselves in a position to look oat fur the interests of ur town as Hie citizens of other places ook out for theirs. It takes rustling ami push to make a thrifty, tip-top, Bret t-lass, live town and all observing men will agree that soch towns are peopled bv citizens who hare the sagacity to or ganize and gu after what tbey want.
