In our mention of the collapse of the Leonard bridge over the John Day we stated we were informed that the bridge wa the property of M. A. Moody, of Tbe Dalle. The information waa given ns in good faith by an old-timer, . wbo was sure that such was the case. He was mistaken, however, as The Dalle paper sav that Mr. Mood v does not nor never ha owned an interest in this bridge, and add that unless a change ha been made recently, it is yet the property of W. Lair Hill and Wo, Grant. The record of Gilliam county show that at one time a lady of The Dalles, named Mattie J. Murray, owned a half interest In the bridge, having received the deed from one W.O.
