Eugene Guard. We are sending our money out of the country by millions and no ef fort is being made to stop the influx of foreign-made goods.. The bung hole is being left open and, we are trying to remedy an imaginary evil by monkeying with our money. As long as England, Germany and France can keep our people quar reling over the money question, the tariff will be unchanged and they can ship their goods into this coun try by tne shipload. West Side. A bill should be introduced in the next legislature to amend" the constitution so that the elections in Oregon should take place in No vember and not in June. We ought to be in line with the other states in this matter. It would be a great saving to the people if our elections could be brought off in November. This year Oregon haB to undergo the expense of two elec tions, when one might be made to answer all purposes. Miss Nebbie Williams, of Knoiville, Tenn., affirms that she has been to bell and heaven, too, and came back to tell all about it. She was in a trance for three days at a revival meeting.
