CORNELIUS ONTOP The Cornelius base ball team defeated the Columbia Hardware Company's team before a fair crowd on the local diamond San day. Score 13 to 5. The Cornelius boys went up in the air in the first inning and Jet the visiting team run in four Ecores, but manage to come down In the second and during the re mainder of the game played ball. Cornelius knocked two of the vis itor's pitchers out of the box. Edd Henderson, Cook and Mc Curdy starred with the bat for Cornelius, each getting three hits. Three of Henderson's went for two beepers. Van pitched a good game aad fielded his posit ion like a big leaguer. Cook and Chester Henderson made several good catches in the field. Church Seventh-day Adventlsts in var ious parts of Western Oregon art preparing to attend the quad rennial meeting of the General Conference of that demonination which will be held-in Washing ton D. C. May 15 to June 8, and which will bring together believ ers in the faith from all parts oi the world. A delegation of 15 members will represent the Nor th Pacific Union Conterence, which takes in the states of Idaho Oregon, Montana an i Washing ton. The Western Oregon Con ference, which has its headquar-; ters in Portland will be repres ented by Elders H. W. Cottrell, ; the president, J.F. Beatty, ana l.Ml Everest, manager ot tnt Portland Sanitarium. The others will be: Eldera C.W. Fiaiz, presi dent of the Union; L. Johnson, j the president of the Western! Washington Conference; a.m. . Dart, president of the Southern! Idaho Conference; P. A. Hanson, ! president of the Upper Columbia j Conference; W.F. Martin, Religi-j oua Liberty Secretary of the: North Pacific Union Conference M.E. Cady, secretary ot tne Educational Department; J. Kif- fel. head of the German Depart mflnt-and E.C. Kellogg, presid ent, and F.w. Peterson, business manager, of Walla Walla Uouege H.W. These persons will be among delegates that will represent eve ry one of the 25 union conference in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and Africa, and the mission stations in Afri ca and Asia. While the delegates will number between 800 and 600 the number of persons to attend will swell to about 4000, and be lievers from all parts of North America will flock to the sceae to listen to the important quest ions concerning the whole deno mination which will come up for consideration, and the explanatr ion of Bible themes by leading miniters of the faith. Mr. Hardy clcsed up his store a little after eleven oclock and during the small hours of the night the robbers bored two holes in the East side door but got scared out before gaining ad mittance. The following members of the Scholls bachelor club 6at at the table loaded with good things' prepar ed by Frank Moore: Luther Mill er, dean of the club, Bert Rowell Lester Campbell, Victor Wens trom, Earnest Heaton' Merrill Heaton, George Withycombe, Ray, Leslie and Frank Moore. Several of the younger members discussed the question how to succeed in catching school mams intimating that they had solved the problem.
