TBI BKATMTON ' We take this way of thanking our friends and customers for their patronage of the passing year and we will endeavor to give you EVEN BETTER treat ment in the coming year. .MoGee's' BEAVERTON, ORE. FORTY YEARS OF TOIL AT THE WASH TUB , F. M. Crabtree hands the News Times publisher . clipping from the Montgomery County News, published at Hilleboro, Illinois, which gives a picture of a woman of that town 75 years old, who has been the wash woman of the .place for forty years. Sh. is the' mother of eight children. In a ejaumn of comment on her life the paper has this to say: Mrs. Friezland has 21 grand chil dren and eight great grandchildren. She deserves a nich in the hall of fame because of her untiring indus try and her cheerful disposition dur ing the long and toilsome years of her uneventful life. And even now, nearly 76 years of age, she is doing from 8 to 10 washings a week. Last week, the week before Christmas, she did 11 washings! She has done every washing for one family for 88 years, and she has bought a comfort able home with her earnings at the wash tub, and she enjoys the respect and esteem of every right-thinking man and woman who knows her. Look upon her seamed and wrinkled face, ye butterflies of fash ion whose lots were by chance cast in pleasanter places, gaze into her evi-E, into which the rheum of old age is gathering, and know ye, that this aged toiler is entitled to more credit man a 4uacr& ueia iuu ox laie, bridge-playing, goBBiping ylappers of society I Forest Grove may not have a wo man who has toiled so long as has Mrs. Friezland at the wash tub, but there are many who are equally as faithful in their labors and are as deserving of the respect and esteem of the community as are any others, no matter what their station in life. No matter how lowly the task, if well performed the laborer is entitled to the highest credit. Forest Grove News-Times. 13 TH AMmi&h , . . t ACCESSOR?
