Meek, of North Plains has received word of the death on October 24, at Crsigmont, Idaho, of his brother, Joseph Lane Meek. Deceased waa a son of the pioneer, Joseph Meek, and waa born in Washington county, October I, 1865. He was married June 26, 18S5, to Miss Katherine Anderson and the same year moved to .Idaho, where ha farmed oh an extensive soale and was active In politics. He la survived by his widow and seven children, a brother, S. A. D. Meek, and a sister, Mrs. Olive Riley, of Eugene.
