A grower of Netted Gem potatoes, near Redmond, has two fields. Both- are on new around, both are irri gated and both are planted at a sim ilar manner. What is the difference then? One field was planted to he laree potato es, the other to the small potatoes irom the lot. - On inspecting them for certifica tion. Auirust 16. the potatoes from from large seed showed 0 per cent. disease -blackleg, wilt, rhizoctonia, curly dwarx. ine small seed showed 20 per cent, disease and the plants were harder hit. The two fields do not even look similar yet many people bur such seed and plant it. One well known grower well ex pressed it when he iaid "We did the country a damage when we took seed prices for our hog feed this snring." TO CHANGE THE CHASTER OF CITY OF FORBBT GftOVE, There will be presented to 'the vouncil at its adjourned meeting next week, a oraxt oz the proposed new city charter.
