Mrs. Doty has been quite ill of late.

were Portland visitors Friday.
Chas. Walker was home over Sun
day. Sam's entertained relativtes from
Portland the last of the week.
A Portland team crossed bats with
Reedville Sunday. The score was
21-4 in favor of the Rose City.
St. Mary's Home Boys won 15-12
from Aloha-fiuber in a slug fest of
batting last week's base ball game.
Dewey Walker left first of the
week for Wren, Oregon, where he
will work in a sawmill.
George Wolf, the hustling wood
dealer of Beaverton, is getting out
6000 feet or more of piling on the
Livermore place. Lambert Claasen,
Arnold Claasen and A. Connelly arc
making the "bark fly." Some of the
piling are 75 feet long.
There was a party in honor of
Mrs. F. D. Mitzel last Friday at her
home. All had an enjoyable' time.
The Stroud & Davis sawmill is ctu
ting lumber on the Weir place. Geo.
Davis had a "Happy Farmer" tractor
snaking in the logs, some trips three
and four trips at a time. John Mit
zel is head sawyer, Edward Wolf
"toots the whistle," while Sherman
Rhodes and Wes Baney yell "timber."
The prospects for lumber are good.
