Fruit Crop Good.
According to N. W. Muinford, man
ager of the Walla Walla Produce
Co's. packing bouse at Milton, fruit
of all kiuds is ddiug Duo. Cherries
are now on the market aud coming in
plentifully, the price being from 4 to
7 cents per pouud, accordiug to varie
ty. May Dukes and Governor Wood
are the greatest in demand at the
present timo. Poaches will be plen
tiful. Much prauiug has boon doue
ou the trees in ordor that they will
not be too heavy. Blackberries prom
ise to be more plentiful than they
have been for some years. Apples
will be above the average, as the
growers have tukon more than ordi
nary precantion to spray the trees
nronerlv. The strawberry season is
nearly over.
