Also sweeping reductions in all lines of Furniture, including Bedroom Suits, Iron Beds, Chiffoniers; odd Dressers, dining Chairs and Tables, Sideboards Buffets, Morris Chairs, Rocking Chairs, Couches, Lounges, Parlor Suits, Center Tables, etc. A Clearance Sale once a year is a logical necessity in every well conducted mercantile establishment, and while on the surface it appears to be a losing factor, there are good reasons why it is indirectly profit able to conduct them. First of all, the last season's patterns must be disposed of to make room for hew spring stock. Second, we invoice on February 1, ancLthe more goods we can turn into money, the less we will be obliged to measure and count.. Therefore, it is better for us to dispose of the goods, even at a sacrifice of profit, than to hold them. Third, my present stock contains too many of this and too few of that and the "too fews" cause the most trouble. If one could guage the public's tastes and demands, there would be no need of clearance sales, but this is impossible. During this Sale, prices will be reduced to actual cost on some goods. Other goods will be sold for less than cost, and others slightly reduced. , commences Monday, January 11, and will positively close' Saturday, January 30.
