old is employed as a farm hand on
tho ranch of Chas. Crouch of Haynes
Inlet, according to tho Coos Bay
Times, and ho is said to be the old
est farm hand drawing regular wages
as such in the United States. Mr.
Templcton is comfortnblyfixcd, hav
ing always been of a saving dispos
ition. Ho is nn old bachelor and
has no relatives in this section, but

Roscburg last Friday night after a
long seige of tuberculosis.
II. H. Dufort is excavating his lot
north of the Kelly livery barn and

Street. He will then put up a build
ing on the lot being excavated and
will build eight three-room bungalows

On the night of February 27th
burglars broke into tho store of Frank
McMullen at Langlois and stole about
thirty dollars worth of groceries. Tho
putty was cut out so that tho bolts
in a back window could bo reached,
and the store was entered in this
manner. A resident of Langlois com
plains that several happenings some
what similar to this have not been
published in tho Leader, evently on
account of tho reputation of the town
