Often persona in these dry, over -'S IN OREGON HOMES -a Eugene—"Live in plenty” is the idea portrayed in a recent exhibit of vegtables grown by Lane county homemakers who co-operated in the year-round garden project of the home economics extension service. Out of a huge “ horn o f plenty” poured spinach, peppers, turnips, egg plant, beans and other fresh vegetables. On a ledge just below were displayed canned and dried feeds preserved by these women. Canned vegetables prepared read} fo r serving to the baby were fea tured. Planting plans and recipes using these vegetables were showr and made available. The display was arranged by Gertrude Skow, home demonstration agent, dn co-operation with the First National bank in Eugene. Linn and Benton Co. Iambi that were shipped to Oilifornia since June brought $500.000 to fanners. Mrs. A. E. Wilson, Miss Mabel Richter, and Gayford Wilson spent Sunday in Silverton visiting with Mrs. Wilson's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Kuenzi. Oregon City— Eighty-five dresses were remodeled by Clackamas coun ty women enollei last spring and summer in the clothing project called the “ Use of Commercial Pat terns” .
