The fender o f Hahn’s ma chine was tom loo$e and tho other auto suffered a bent front axle but they were both ablo to proceed on their way under their own power. OUTLOOK PROMISING FOR PRUNE PRICES Offers for the 1925 Oregon prune crop should open ut a vc, > fuir price, says G. 3. H ted, '■lar’-uiing specialist’ for the O. A. C. extension service. For the first time in several years no surplus will be carried over. Both the Oregon and California crops should' be cleaned * up shortly and since a large part of the 1924 crop has been sold for export, jobbers and retail ers should enter the 1925 buy ing season with praclicully no .runes on hand. Better economic conditions in Europe and prospects for continuous employment o f la bor in the United States aro other factors that augur well for the prune grower, Mr. Hurd believes. Oregon and Washington have a near monopoly o f Italian prunes, but this variety has to rompete with the petite pruno produced in California. Tho Italian has an advantage over tho petite In size with almost a monopoly on 20’ s, 30’ s, and SB’s.
