German Population Same ae in 1908
Berlin.— Provisional figures of the
census taken last month show that the
population of Germany is, roughly, 62,-
500,000, excluding the Sarre region,
the population of which is estimated
at another 750,000. Thus the popula
tion of Germany is about the same as
it was in 1908, whereas at the out
break of the war it was roughly 68,-
000,000. It is estimated Germany lost
nearly 7,000,000 by the cession of var
ious territories under terms of the
peace treaty, another 2,760,000 by
deaths during the war and 2,500,000
through a decreased birth rate during
that time.

Resistance to wear is probably the one quality you

Not linoleum, nor a substitute, but an improvement’
on printed linoleum—a floor covering with its wear
ing surface composed of special enamel paint in
stead of the usual soft oil-paint. <•
This hard, wear-defying surface rests on a firm ’ body’’« /
