The Legion Hoopsters Basket
ball team took a 38-57 shellacking
from the Crazy Swayzy’s of
Medford.
The sidelines were
filled by Illinois Valley people
who were disappointed a t the loss
of the game, but astounded by
the action and superb playing abil
ity of both team s. The team went
to Glendale W ednesday and will
play here again sometime a fte r

Scout Party Canceled

and decorate the tree and all par

The turkey shoot held last Sun
day sponsored by the V eterans of
Foreign W ars was a real success
both financially and socially.
Thanks are due the orderly
crowd of sportsm en and women
who attended and apparently en
joyed
themselves.
Remarkable
skill was shown by the many
m arksm en who took home the
turkeys.

gave our local dead-shots some
real com petition but the Valley

by our own riflem en.

The last card party of a series

day, December 16, in the auxiliary
rooms a t the Legion hall. Ladies
grand prize for this series went
