Un der th ! letter "T” they have: Tem perance - T ru th - T yranny. Sounds like a funny combination. And Io philosophize a little, notice that T ruth is in the center — be l l ' e e n Tyranny and Temperance. Now and then you hear folks criticize tem perate people who en joy a m oderate glass of beer . . . who talk about “ two beers’’ g ettin g some one into trouble, and claim : ‘‘T here ought to be a law !" Then Truth steps in between, and points out that twe beers never got anybody into trouble—and that somebody’s trying to distort ths facts. No, there shouldn't be a law —there should be Truth. From where I sit, those ideas are arranged ju st right. Temper ance on one side, Tyranny on the other—and Truth in the middle— se e in g th a t T yran n y n ever en croaches upon Temperance.
