L. Huffaker, professor of edu cation at the University of Ore gon, it is reported by the Grants Pass Courier. The Josephine county school board voted Monday night to re tain Dr. Huffaker to make this survey when he comes here De cember 19 to make a survey for School District No. 7. Marguerite S. Stanton, clerk of the school board, said that the board also opened gas and oil bids for the coming year, and that the contract went to General Pc troleum. A one-horse power deep-weel pump, with an 80-gallon water tank will be installed at the Sel ma unit of the Kerby school. At the O’Brien school, a drinking fountain will be installed to utilize water from the spring at O'Brien store, Mr. Sherman, owner of the store, having given permission to use the water.
