There proved to be over 20 fractures and chipped places, some large and some small. The larger fractures are still not completely healed. Floyd Foster, his wife and baby arrived by auto last Wednesday from Maryland. Sunday, he and his family, also several relatives drove out from Grants Pass to visit the Wayne Vahrenwald. Floyd has been in the service for seven years and I has two more years to serve. Mrs. ' Elsie Vahrenwald received a let- i ter from one of her sons, Amos, saying that he will leave his pres ent station in 60 days. Amos is now about 70 miles from I^yte. Bill Akers came down from his mine Sunday to spend the day with friends around Holland. Come again Bill. -------------- o-------------- L. E. (Ted) Athey and (Slim) Hamrick left for Los Angeles last Friday to purchase merchandise for Ted’s new curio store. They expect to return this week end. Slim hopes to bring back a new air compressor to complete his spray gun paint outfit. -------------- o Delaware discards ba'lots where a name has been written in. He is in the navy. Florence Looper is helping with household duties at the Bald- win home at present, Grandmoth- er Baldwin’s condition remains the same.
