Australian money, when finished
it is going to be very nice. I am
sending you an Australian coin
that I was telling you about, it is a
3 pence, or as the Aussie would
say. “trippence.'’ It is the smallest
silver coin and worth four cents
in American money. I got paid
and this is what I drew, L 19-17H

schillings and two pence, and it
amounted to about $63.6.3 in our
money.

Jack Hance has received word
from his son, Lloyd Hance, now
serving in the Navy as a dispers­
ing officer, that he is getting on
fine and doing well. He is in the
South Pacific.

while since you heard from me and
I guess you have been worrying
about me. I haven't heard from
you for almost two weeks and I

I wrote a letter while on my way
but I guess it has just been mailed.
I am getting along fine. I like

tiful place. The grass is green
everywhere you look and so are the
trees. The fruit trees are all in
blossom now. It reminds me of
home. It is raining now but I
guess it is just the April showers.
There are a lot of Red Cross
ladies around these parts and they
sure treat the soldiers fine. Don’t
ever let anyone tell you the Red
Cross isn’t doing anything because
they are and people should sup­
port them all they can. Do you
hear from Jack and Lawrence very
often? I would like to hear from
