Johnson returned Sunday from an execu tive meeting of the Redwood Em pire association at Santa Rosa, held August 3rd. The judge was enthusiastic over the results of the meeting and the thinge he leiwned while there. Travel is off 10 per cent, he states, on account of the war, business executives did not feel they could leave their work. Industrial ex ecutives have hail their vacation cancelled on account of increased factory work, and the people in the lower brackets of income, have had their incomes decreased by federal taxes. Secretaries of chambers of com merce and travel agencies will hold their annual meeting at the Ore gon Caves Chateau September 20. Clyde Edmondson, manager of the Redwood Empire association, will attend this meeting ami has agreed to stay over another day and will meet with executives of the Grants Pass chamber and county officers the next day. The officers elected were Milt Akerill, commander; Gus Hart, vice-commander; Bert Badden, ad jutant; George Hicks, finance of ficer; Clyde Hays, chaplain; Har old Hill, sergeant-at-arms.
