Mrs. Forbes Slayton is visiting relatives and friends in Grants Pass for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. T. O. Russell of Salem, were guests at the Casa Willadora, on Wednesday. W. R. Pilkenton will open the pool hail in Cave Junction tonight Thursday, October 13. —o— Bill Katchem of the Rainbow mine was in Grants Pass transact ing business last Saturday. —o— C. L. Schumacher left for Yak ima, Washington, today and ex pects to be gone for several weeks. H. L. Cooper who has been working a claim on the lower Illi nois river was in the city for a few days. — o— Mrs. Roy C. Dundas of the Pine Cone Inn left for Fresno, Cali fornia, recently to visit relatives and friends. —o— Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Brown and daughter, Wanda, of O’Brien were business visitors in Grarfts Pass last Saturday. —o— Mrs. Elda Yarbrough of Marsh field, sister of Mrs. Addie Martin of Bridgeview, has gone to Etna, California, where she will spend the winter. —o— Miss Anna Hanzik who has been a guest of Dr. and Mrs. Wil liam Brown at the Casa Willadora, left for her home in San Francis co the last of the week. —o— Last Monday, Gertrude Bloom ingcainp took over the Cave City ' Beauty Shop. The former owner, Mrs. J. D. Lanning is joining her husband in Bakersfield, Califor nia. —o— Robert R. "March of Time" is also scheduled for Sat urday and Sunday. A famous stage play from the pen of Edgar Wallace has been brought to the screen in "Danger- ous to Know," which will be shown Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 19 and 20 at the fave City theatre with Gail Patrick. Akim Tamiroff and Anna May Wong heading the cast of popular players. Against the background of a boss ruled American city, the pic ture tells the story of a political racketeer, urbane, unscrupulous and ambitious, who tries to climb from a beer truck onto the social band wagon—and loses his foot ing when a beautiful young lady makes a fool of him.
