We have endeavored to give the best ser- vice we know how. and believe we have satisfied all of our customers with our service. We have in the past, operated with a credit system, to the disadvantage of many of our customers, because a credit store cannot compete with a cash and carry store, and we believe it is now time that the residents of Illinois Valley enjoy the privileges of a cash and carry store. Therefore it will be our policy in the future, beginning with the first of Sep tember, to carry on with a cash and carry store and give our customers the advan tages that they receive in anv laree citv. We can give the same service—the same cash prices for merchandise that any other store can give—and it will be our policy in the future to see that the residents of this valley get that kind of service. We appreciate the fact that this change of policy may cause some to suffer, but we sincerely believe that it will benefit the great majority, and therefore have decided to make this change. We want to take this opportunity of thanking all our customers for their fine cooperation in the past, ami believe that we will be in a better position to p-ive them better service and better prices for first class merchandise with our new policy, in the future.
