He will return to Kerby Wednesday to take p his duties as pastor of the Kerby church. M. F. Hull, Carl Hull, Mr. and Mrs. Ceo. Hull and John Lance went to Gold Hill Tuesday morning to at tend the funeral of G. W. Lance, Sr., who died Saturday morning. Mr. Lance was the father of Mrs. M. F. Hull, and a pioneer of Jackson county, a (!?( over 80 years. F. 0. Burns Near Death F. 0. Burns, a pioneer of Oregon, nd resident of Josejhlno county foi 0 years, was strhkeu Monday morning with paralysis, a second at tack, and Is now lying at his home on West I street at the point of death. Mr. Bnrns arose at tho usual time and mentioned that he felt bet ter than at any time since he was stricken first, some time during last ummer. He sad down to breakfast with great relish, but before he had finished his son noticed that he had topped eating and rushed to htm to prevent a fall. Since this time Mr. Durns has been unconscious.
