Rueben Tucker and wife, of Selma, started for Crescent City last week for an outing after harvesting their hay crop,1 which amounted to about 80 tons. This crop was grown on the Rlggs farm, formerly owned by C. E. Harmon. Ralph Hlatt, who has been on the lumber haul from Swede Basin to Giants Pass, returned home this iiioriilm: to harvest the second cut ting of alfalfa. He experts to resume hauling some time next week. Mrs. Clay Perkins, of your city, visited for a couple of days last week at. the home of .1. (5. Hlatt, while Mr. Perkins did some survey work for Art Harmon, who has just disposed of an X0-nere tract of al falfa land 011 upper Deer creek for the consideration of $2000. Cornell went to Medford Tuesdav where he expects to spend the next two or three weeks in the interest of the Oregon Life Insur ance company. Mrs. Willis Hilts, of Crescent City, who has been visiting relatives in this city and Medford, returned Wed nesday to her home. Mrs. Hilts is a cousin of Mrs. Amos Smith. Mac Smith, who is visiting here from Xapa, Cal., left Wednesday in company with his' brother, "Tot" Smith, for a few days' fishing trip (in Evans Creek. W. A. Cowper, of Helena, Mont., who has spent the past week with her mother, Mrs. Wooldridge, and her sister, Mrs. Dorrnnce Dotson, of this city, left Tuesday morning for San Francisco to visit another sister. Mrs. Cowper expects to return to this city and make an extended visit with her mother and sister before re turning to her home In Montana. II. B.
