Ruth and Orril Huck were visitors at the Mansfield home one night last week. Wm. Breitmeyer's new barn will loon be completed. Bev. A. R. McLean of the Newman M. E. chordi will have charge of the preaching service oat here on Novem ber 22. S. A. Retty and Paul Blanchard attended Prof. McMorray's vocal re cital at the opera houe in Grants Pass last Tuesday evening. Froitdale Orange will hold its next meeting on Saturday, November 14 at 2 p. m. A verv interesting pro gram has been prepared. Patrons from other Granges ate especially invited to attend. Dont' forget to attend the Orange meeting Saturday, November 14 at 2 p. m. The roll call will be responded to by a Current Event, atfer which the hour will be devoted to "Chlok ens." If you are interested in poultry, dont' fail to attend this meeting. Patrons from other Granges aad friends and neighbors are cordially in vited to be present Strawberries in November. Strangers in this section wonder when the strawberry season ends, but no one seems to be able to tell them exactly, as it seems to depend more on the man and the plants than on the season. J. C. Calhoun has been picking berries from very early :u the spring and is jti'.l it I'. and nearly every day brings striw berrles to the market. He has ship ped Borne recently to Portland but prefers to sell them at home as he makes a little more on each box. rles he shipped to Portland brought 12V4 cents, while locally he bas no difficulty in getting 15. What Mr. Calhoun has done others can do, and in fact others are doing, though his place has been called to our attention oftener than others. With the climate we have here, there Is no reason why our mar kets should not be well filled with strawberries and like fruits almost the entire year.
