CITY OF WARRENTON
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in
the Commission Chambers at Warrenton City Hall, 225 S. Main Avenue,
Warrenton, to give residents the opportunity to comment on amendments
to the Comprehensive Plan Article 9, “Economy” (CP-22-1) and the WMC
Development Code chapters 16.40 General Commercial (C-1), 16.44 Com-
mercial Mixed Use (CMU), and 16.60 General Industrial (I-1) (DCR-22-1)
to align with the results of the 2020 Economic Opportunity Analysis (EOA).
Adoption of the EOA will also be considered.
After holding a public hearing on April 14, 2022, the Warrenton Planning
Commission voted to forward a recommendation to the City Commission
to approve these amendments and adoption of the EOA. Those wishing to
testify at this hearing may attend the public hearing and submit a comment
card to speak to the City Commission or submit written comments before
4:00 P.M. on the day of the hearing. Written comments may be submitted
to Dawne Shaw, City Recorder, P.O. Box 250, Warrenton Oregon, 97146-
0250; or emailed to dshaw@ci.warrenton.or.us.
Failure to raise an issue in person, or by letter at the hearing, or failure
to provide statements of evidence sufficient to afford the decision makers
an opportunity to respond to the issue, means that an appeal based on that
issue cannot be filed with the State Land Use Board of Appeals.
