Warrants
• Trespassing, 12:09 p.m. May
27, Fred Meyer. Anthony Rich-
ard Ramos, 30, of Ilwaco, Wash.,
was arrested on an outstanding
warrant and booked at Clatsop
County Jail.
Thefts and burglaries
• Shoplifting, 1:44 p.m. May 14,
Walmart. An unknown person
driving a gray Kia with Washing-
ton state license plates left the
store without paying for $291 in
merchandise, including food and
a flashlight.
• Shoplifting, 7:20 p.m. May
14, Walmart. Daniel E. Sim-
mons, 37, of Gresham was cited
for third-degree theft after he
allegedly left the store without
paying for several cases of beer
valued at $74.
• Theft of returnable cans, 5:45
p.m. May 22, Walmart. Erland
James Fahlstrom, 35, of War-
renton was cited on suspicion of
third-degree theft.
• Shoplifting, 9:27 p.m. May
30, Walmart. Jessie Anastasia
Hart, 33, no known address, was
cited for third-degree theft and
criminal trespassing after she
allegedly attempted to leave the
store without paying for $74 in
furniture.

• Man yelling in bushes for help,
1:08 a.m. May 28, near Premarq
Center. David B. Vickery, 37,
of Warrenton was arrested on
suspicion of disorderly conduct
and criminal mischief after two
parked vehicles were found with
slashed tires.
• Trespassing, 5:07 p.m. May 28,
Walmart. Erland James Fahl-
strom, 35, of Warrenton was
cited for criminal trespassing
when he returned to the store
after previously having been
trespassed.
• Physical disturbance, 9:30 p.m.

Seaside teacher killed in car crash
Seaside School District’s
band director was killed
along with another driver
Saturday when their vehicles
collided on Highway 26.
Kyle Rieger, 26, of War-
renton suffered major inju-
ries and was flown to Oregon
Health & Science University
in Portland, where he died.
Fredrick Scheffler, 49, of
Portland was pronounced
dead at the scene.
Scheffler was headed west
on Highway 26, about 10
miles east of Seaside, when
he lost control of his 2020
Tesla Model Y and collided
with Rieger’s Hyundai Tuc-
son van, which was headed
east, according to Oregon
State Police.
The highway was partially
closed for 3 ½ hours.
