Items stolen include gloves, jacket, medications, battery charger, prescription glasses, and flashlight, valued at $450. • Battery stolen, 8:56 a.m. Jan. 30, 1000 block Southeast Marlin Avenue. A business reported the theft of a $120 battery from a customer’s trailer. • Shoplifting, 5:40 p.m. Jan. 31, Walmart. Michael Travis Johnson, 31, and Sarah Mar- garet Karns, 25, both of Lacey, Wash., were arrested on suspi- cion of first-degree theft after they attempted to leave the store without paying for $2,290 in merchandise, including a big- screen TV. • Shoplifting, 4:13 p.m. Feb. 1, Walmart. Joey D. Norberg, 35, of Clatskanie was cited for second-degree theft after he allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $178 in merchandise, including a car battery. • Vehicle burglary, 7:55 p.m. Feb. 2, 200 block North Main Avenue. A man reported $1,595 in items were stolen from his vehicle, including a jacket, iPad, backpack and Bible. • Employee theft from Warren- ton Mini Mart in December; arrest occurred at 11:20 a.m. Feb. 3. Employee seen on sur- veillance camera allegedly taking $200 from register. Christopher James Beeman, 37, no known address, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and on suspicion of criminal trespassing and crimi- nal mischief. driving while suspended and failing to carry and present a license. • Vehicle into tree, no injuries, 9:24 a.m. Jan. 31, Highway 26 at Woodard Lane. A 38-year-old Seaside man swerved to miss a deer, traveled off the eastbound shoulder, down an embankment and struck a tree. • Two-vehicle collision with inju- ry, 4:10 p.m. Jan. 31, Discovery and Ensign lanes. One driver was cited for running a stop- light. A passenger in the vehicle that was struck received minor injuries. • Intoxicated female trespasser, 1:40 a.m. Jan. 31, 900 block Fifth Avenue, Hammond. V ehiCles • Speeding, 3:50 p.m. Jan. 26, Ridge Road at Southwest Ninth Street. Driver cited for going 64 in a 45 mph zone. • Traffic stop, 6:38 p.m. Feb. 1, Highway 101 north of Ensign Lane. Passenger Angela Marie Cushman, 38, of Seaside was arrested on a warrant out of Seaside. The driver, a 48-year- old Warrenton man, was cited for driving while suspended, having no insurance and failing to renew his vehicle registration. • Road rage with hit-and-run, 6:13 p.m. Jan. 28, Highway 101 at Premarq Center. A 28-year-old Seaside woman said she flipped off a motorist in a full-size green Ford pickup who was tailgating her as they drove across Youngs Bay Bridge. The angry man fol- lowed her into the center’s park- ing lot and pushed her Nissan forward 3 to 5 feet before driving off toward Harbor Drive. • Hit-and-run collision, 5:46 p.m. Jan. 29, Alder Avenue at First Street. William Z. Middleton, 26, of Warrenton was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants, failing to perform the duties of a driver and interfering with police. His passenger, Amanda Lynn White, 43, of Warrenton was cited for interfering with police. • Speeding, 7:05 p.m. Jan. 29, Highway 30 at Svensen Market Road. Anthony Tyler Salonius, 18, of Albany was cited by OSP for speeding and for being a mi- nor in possession of marijuana. • Traffic stop, 1:17 p.m. Jan. 30, Highway 101 at Ensign Lane. Lavon Lee Sargent, 50, of Warrenton was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants and failing to carry and present a driver’s license. He also was cited for driving while suspended and having expired tags. He refused to take a breathalyzer test and was booked at Clatsop County Jail. • Traffic stop, 10:15 p.m. Feb. 2, 200 block Northwest Cedar Avenue.
