A customer became angry when the store refused to give her cash for her empty cans and then refused to take the cans with her when she left. A Jeep Cherokee struck the rear end of a Toyota Corolla that had stopped in traffic, which pushed it into the rear of a Chrysler van. The Jeep’s driver was cited for following too closely. • Running a stoplight, 4:30 p.m. Dec. 23, Highway 101 at Ensign Lane. Driver cited. • Two-vehicle collision, no inju- ries, 11:54 a.m. Dec. 24, Highway 101 at Premarq Center. One driver cited for failing to yield entering a roadway. • Traffic stop, 4:30 p.m. Dec. 25, Harbor Drive at Pacific Street. Anthony E. Liberty, 28, of Gibraltar, Mich., was cited for criminal failure to carry and present a license. • Three-vehicle collision, pos- sible injury, 1:06 p.m. Dec. 26, Highway 101 at Marlin Avenue. A Toyota Scion struck a Chevy Equinox that was stopped at the intersection, which caused the Equinox to strike a Hyundai Sonata. Injuries were undeter- mined. The Scion driver was cited for following too closely. • Five-vehicle collision, nine inju- ries, 2:03 p.m. Dec. 26, Highway 101 at Glenwood Village. • Running a stop sign, 1:50 p.m. Dec. 26, South Main Avenue at Southwest Ninth Street. Driver cited. • Hit-and-run collision, 11:35 a.m. Dec. 29, 900 block Peacock Street. A man reported his vehi- cle was struck the previous day at one of two locations. Road work w arrenton • A project repairing the Youngs Bay Bridge continues through 2021, with little impact to traffic except some single-lane closures at night for the contractor to move equipment. Most of the work is being done from below the bridge. c latsoP c ounty • Crews will be repairing a slide on Lewis and Clark Road, just past Reith-Larson Lane. Expect minor delays. • Crews will be repairing a small slide on Aldrich Point Road and Owl Lane. • County crews should be just about finished making repairs to the Beerman Creek and Rippet bridges south of Seaside. Work was expected to be complete by Dec. 31. a storia • Work continues on the wa- terfront bridge project, which affects the north end of Sixth, Eighth and Tenth streets down- town. Work on the odd-num- bered streets has been com- pleted. The project will cause disruptions in the area through June 2020. • A project improving the in- tersection of Highway 30 at 30th Street in Astoria near the Desdemona Club could cause lane restrictions at various times through the end of the year. All work on Highway 30 would take place between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. Sunday through Friday. Work on 30th Street would take place during daylight hours Monday through Thursday. t illaMook c ounty • The Farmer Creek Bridge on Highway 101 between Beaver and Hebo is being resurfaced and reconstructed, with flaggers in place, through June.
