A short time later, police stopped a 28-year-old Warrenton man who was walking down Harbor Drive carrying a 12-pack of beer, drinking one of them. He was positively identified by store employees. The remaining beer was returned and the man was trespassed from the store. • Shoplifting, 11:44 p.m. April 4, Walmart. Jarod Ryan Shaw, 20, of Vernonia was cited for third-degree theft after he allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $13 in merchandise. • Vehicle burglary, 1:58 p.m. April 5, 2000 block Southeast Huckleberry Avenue. A wallet containing identification, a mon- ey order and food stamp card was taken from a vehicle. • Shoplifting, 1:52 p.m. April 7, Rite Aid. A woman reported a high school friend contacted her on Face- book and told her she’d won a large monetary prize from a company and needed to pay an agency $4,000 to collect it. Later, the woman was asked to purchase $700 in Google Play cards, which she did, and another $1,000 cash via Western Union, which she sent. Store employees called police when a man who was causing a disturbance alleged- ly began threatening to slash people’s throats. Jeffrey Lewis Glassmyer, 37, with no known address, was arrested on suspi- cion of two counts of criminal mischief, two counts of disor- derly conduct and two counts of menacing.
